VGo and Vecna among MassTLC Leadership Awards finalists

On July 15, 2015, the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council (MassTLC) announced finalists for a number of categories including Innovative Product of the Year and CTO of the Year and .

The VGo robot earned a spot as a finalist in the category of Innovative Product of the Year – Robotics. This award recognizes a unique or improved product with major impact to customers or consumers. VGo developed a customized VGo for Audi to improve car repair times and customer satisfaction at their dealerships across the US. Using VGo, a remote factory expert can work alongside the local mechanic to diagnose and conduct repairs anywhere on the car including looking inside the engine.

Vecna’s Co-Founder and CTO, Daniel Theobald, was named among the honorees for CTO of the Year. This award recognizes the CTO who has served as an outstanding leader and team-builder, developed innovative technologies resulting in measured successes for their company, and has provided continued support to clients and partners ensuring their technological needs are met. This year, Theobald has received recognition for his efforts in rallying the Massachusetts robotics community around establishing MassRobotics, an incubator/accelerator for robotics startups and spin-offs. In addition,Theobald has worked to involve the greater robotics ecosystem in establishing interoperability standards for facility and fleet integration.
